Seanic’s Largest Full Scale Test in New Test Tank
As a culmination in a plan set in motion several years ago, Seanic successfully completed the largest full scale test, to date, in its state-of-the-art test tank in Katy, Texas. The test, carried out on behalf of a major Operator and Engineering contractor, involved 3 days of operations whereby equipment that was designed and built by Seanic was tested in a full-scale Site Integration Test (SIT) environment.
Seanic has developed a unique ROV-operated subsea water blasting system that incorporates cavitation technology. The ECB pump was built to solve an industry-wide problem where traditional 5K pressure washers are extremely inefficient for cleaning heavy marine growth and 10K pressure washers could potentially damage sensitive materials such as rubber, paint or anti-fouling coatings. The ECB pump is capable of easily cleaning marine growth from seaweed to hard barnacles, saving operators time and money. The videos below demonstrate the capabilities of these ECB pumps in action.
